World Action Against Poverty, Inc international programs focus on providing food, medical assistance, emergency relief and creating sustainable development. Since 1999, we have provided food, clothing, medical assistance and educational opportunities to those in need in more than 6 nations around the world and in over 200 districts within nations. Through schools, orphanages and church-related programs, World Action Against Poverty, Inc. World Action Against Poverty Inc, touches the lives of thousands of children overseas every day. We also provide financial assistance to orphanages, schools and other charitable groups in these regions.

A key goal is to help needy families move past needing help and into becoming self-sufficient members of their community. Through long-term, self-help development programs funded by grants and by our Child Sponsorship partners, hundreds of families in countries around the world have increased their ability to be self-sufficient by learning and applying new, marketable skills.

Disaster Relief
World Action Against Poverty, Inc. tries responds to disasters wherever they strike, providing food and supplies to children and their families in countries around the world. World Action Against Poverty, Inc. has sent relief supplies to the Sudan and to Ghana in regions plague with severe famine.

Child Sponsorship
Sponsorship is one of the foundations upon which World Action Against Poverty, Inc builds its community education and health programs and improves individual children's lives, both in the United States and throughout the developing world. Sponsorship makes it possible to match caring individual donors with children in need to provide programs that truly result in lasting change. Most of these children we meet along the streets and in poverty stricken areas have lost their childhood and we do the best we can not to let them loose their adulthood.

A hand up they say is far more effective than a handout. We therefore create avenues and opportunities for people like this to be effectual through education and health programs. By involving communities in the work we do, our goal is to create changes that will last, and not just help one generation of children and their families, but future generations as well.
